Marcello Benetti: Drums
Helen Gillet: Cello
Jeff Albert: Trombone
Rex Gregory: Saxaphone, Clarinet, Flute

Marcello Benetti’s SHUFFLED QUARTET came together in New Orleans in 2011 and has recently released their second album “From East To West”. This combination of musicians creates a sound that is truly unique. The compositions are both original and intense and their collective improvisation sounds like one voice. All four musicians bring solid Jazz credentials to the Shuffled Quartet, as well as wide experience in many other styles of music. This special Filament Theatre performance will be the quartet’s first appearance in Chicago.

Great Instrumental combination, this music goes from old New Orleans sounds to the avant-garde flying over Africa.” Jazzit Magazine
